a garden or an urban park
no pic nic blanket but balloons
placed like beacons in space that has become a performance
no pic nic basket but each person’s world shared
choreographer, visual artist, sound artist and dancers
opening up into panoramic work, held together by the constancy of each medium
a dramatic device, the pic nic is transformed into a poetic event
in the beginning, an open invitation into a space familiar to all
to simultaneously open up a world filled with the unexpected
the body becomes hybrid
through repulsion or attraction each journey, actor, or witness
adjusts until the multiple perceptions of space place
everything in stillness
