She studies Graham, Limon and Nikolaïs technics with Christine Gérard, before to join the CNDC (Angers) in 1980, directed by Alwin Nikolaïs. With Anne Koren, Jean Pomarès and Ruth Barnes, she studies Cunningham technic. Brigitte Asselineau dances with Christine Gérard, Daniel Dobbels (since 1983), Nathalie Collantes, Serge Ricci, Odile Duboc, enjoing long collaborations for having the time to go into body's langage in depth.
Graduate as dance teacher, she also gives an important place at pedagogy and at communication of knowledge.
in 2000, she creates the Entre-Deux company with Daniel Dobbels.
Furthermore, Brigitte Asselineau creates in 2004 the danced-conference Mon sujet and, in 2005, Non Dit, performance made of pieces of various choregraphies of Odile Duboc, Nacéra Belaza, Daniel Dobbels and Serge Ricci. She meets the last one again for the creation Des arbres sur la banquise in 2009.
